The languages available for your Teach on Mars solution are determined during the set up of your project. Once these languages have been configured by the Teach on Mars team, you can then decide which languages are available to learners for each training course.
TRAINING COURSE CREATION
Read the article "How to create a regular training course?"
In the Default language field, select your training course main language in the drop-down list.
You just need to provide with the contents of the selected languages !
The Mission Center proposes two methods to manage your training courses contents translations:
- Managing translations with Excel files
- Managing translations with XLIFF format, available from version 17.3
MANAGING TRANSLATIONS WITH EXCEL FILES
Access your Mission Center and click on Training courses.
Select your training course and then click on Translations.
The languages selected in this window will be proposed to the learner the next time the training course is published. It is therefore necessary to ensure that the content in the selected languages is uploaded to the Mission Center. Select each language using the Change Language for content edition feature and compose the corresponding content in the same way you created your training course in the default language.
TRANSLATION MANAGEMENT WITH XLIFF FORMAT
The Mission Center allows you to export and import XLIFF files. This standard format, well known to professional translators and interpreters, makes it possible to industrialise the translation of your training course contents.
Select the XLIFF mode for your translations.
Note: Selection format involves dropping updates using Excel files, except for the default language.
Note: Once XLIFF is enabled, the default language is frozen. New windows allow you to manage your imports and exports of XLIFF files.
You first have to Export your original file:
Once the translation done, you have to Import the new file in this window:
